The RedLink transmitters use a visible red wavelength, are intrinsically eye safe, require low operating currents and are highly reliable therefore perfectly suited for automation, industrial control, communications, and in voltage isolation applications.
RedLink receivers are robust optical components converting red light back into electrical data by use of integrated pulse and distortion circuitry. As for transmitters, the receivers are also available as both inverting and non-inverting options.
To allow installation into many different environments, the range of RedLink components are available in horizontal, vertical and a 30° tilted option.

- Typical distances supported are 50 meters step index POF and 100 meters 200 µm PCS/HCS® fibre
- Both 3.3 V and 5 V DC power supply rails can be used with wide 10% tolerance in supply variation
- Wide operating temperature range of -40 to 85°C
- Push Pull TTL Compatible CMOS for 50 MBd components
- 1 MBd devices ideally suited for switching of thyristor gate drivers and direct switching of SCRs and IGBTs
- RoHS compliant and UL 94 V-0 flame retardant designs
- Standards supported include MODBUS, CAN-Bus, Profibus, RS232 and RS485
- Special green wavelength visible LED (530 nm) version available for DC to 1 MBd and extended length application up to 200 meters
- The analogue receiver (Si PD) can be used simply for light detection or in communications links by adding an external TIA
