Rugged DC/DC power converters, AC/DC power supplies and filters

SynQor®'s converters feature a unique, two-stage power topology that greatly improves efficiency and optimises the heat dissipated by the converter.

Typical applications include railway and transportation systems, industrial motion control, information displays, factory automation, and mission-critical, military power systems.

Power supplies for rail applications

Railway

SynQor®'s RailQor® series is designed to provide isolated DC power in rail industry applications such as LED displays, audio amplifiers, safety monitors, lighting, and communications systems under the European Standard EN 50155.

RailQor® converters use synchronous rectifier-based technology to achieve extremely efficient, industry-leading performance. Due to the difficult environmental conditions the transportation market poses on power supplies, SynQor® has designed the RailQor® series to provide optimal performance in the most demanding conditions.

Military

SynQor®’s military uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) are designed and manufactured to comply with a wide range of standards for the extreme environmental and demanding electrical conditions of military applications. SynQor incorporates field-proven high-efficiency designs and rugged packaging technologies.

The Hi-Rel® series of extremely reliable DC-DC converters and EMI filters offer the "gold" standard in field-proven, highly efficient synchronous rectifier technology. This range is designed to meet the most demanding military applications and the highest certification standards.

Power supplies for aviation applications

Aviation

SynQor®'s range of isolated PFC modules are specifically designed as a COTS component for airborne applications. The 325W AeroQor APFIC-U-xx module converts 85 to 264VAC, 47 - 63Hz / 360 - 800Hz to low voltage DC in one module. Units can be paralleled.

This module, when used in conjunction with SynQor® AeroQor AC line filter and a hold-up capacitor, will draw a nearly perfect sinusoidal current (PF>0.99) from a single-phase AC input, enabling designers to reduce a devices power consumption. All SynQor®'s AeroQor products are designed and manufactured to meet the highest industry standards, for power quality, performance, and safety.

Medical power supplies

Medical

SynQor®'s medical range, the ACuQor®, offers best-in-class solutions for AC/DC power supplies, and are designed to provide high power density in small package sizes, making them suitable for an extensive range of medical applications. ACuQor® medical AC/DC power supplies have been approved to the new stringent IEC60601:2014 (4th Edition). They meet all medical safety specifications for cardiac contact without requiring an external isolation transformer, including B, BF, CF, or CFD ratings.

The CFQor® series of quarter-brick DC/DC converters are high-efficiency converters designed for those medical applications that require isolation and leakage current levels that comply with IEC60601-1.

Industrial power supplies

Industrial

The InQor® series of EMI AC line filters brings SynQor®'s field-proven technology and manufacturing expertise to the industrial-power-applications marketplace. SynQor®'s innovative packaging approach is suited for even the most hostile environments. Compatible with the industry-standard format, these filters have high differential-mode and common-mode attenuation and low series resistance. They follow conservative component derating guidelines and are designed and manufactured to the highest standards, including EN 60950-1, UL 60950-1, and IEC 61000-4-2.

The PFCQor® module is supplied completely encased to provide protection from the harsh environments seen in many industrial and transportation applications. The high-efficiency PFCQor® draws a nearly perfect sinusoidal current from a single-phase AC input when used in conjunction with a holdup capacitor, SynQor®'s DC/DC converters, and AC line filter.

Telecommunications

SynQor® is the worldwide leader in high-efficiency DC/DC converters for the telecommunications and data communications industry. Their PowerQor® open-frame DC/DC converters use synchronous rectification to achieve extremely high power conversion efficiency. The power dissipated by the converter is so low that a heatsink is not required, which saves cost, weight, height, and application effort.
