LC Transceivers for Plastic Optical Fibre (POF)
Supplier: Firecomms
Technology type: Transceivers
The LC high-speed 250 Mbps transceiver can be interfaced directly to standard differential data pairs such as LVDS, CML and LVPECL simplifying integration into existing communication data-buses. An enhanced feature that places the transmitter and receiver sections into sleep mode during periods of no data transmission adds to the transceivers already low power consumption design.
Typical applications include industrial networking, medical data links, transportation system buses and robotic links.
The lower speed LC transceiver version for DC to 50 MBd is suitable for burst mode data transmission due to its ultra-low pulse width distortion design. Other applications include automation and industrial control, voltage isolation, and serial communications.
