Cable assemblies

Firecomms have a wide range of fibre optic cable, connectors and assembly products, offering flexibility to choose exactly the right cable solution fitting to meet the installation requirements. Cables and components are available individually or as one of Firecomms' standard length pre-finished cable assemblies. In special cases, there is the facility to customise POF or PCS cable assemblies to order.

Firecomms' fibre optic solutions deliver on the unique demands of the medical imaging industry, ensuring that the integrity of the processed data not be compromised by the unique operating conditions found in medical imaging applications. Firecomms have developed light sources and communications ICs with a deep understanding of the requirements of medical imaging applications. Their light sources use Resonant Cavity LED (RCLED) technology to ensure the strongest output at the lowest currents while preserving stability after decades of operation. Firecomms' robust receiver topologies guarantee error-free reception in high EMI fields.

In industrial automation and networking applications, the factory environment can be viewed in three layers - the device network, the control network and the corporate network. Each layer operates in an environment where significant challenges must be overcome to ensure a reliable communication system. In the face of unwanted interference from ground loops and electromagnetic interference (EMI), equipment designers frequently take advantage of fibre optic connectivity to preserve and protect the equipment and communication links.

Firecomms' fibre optic solutions deliver on the harsh demands of the wind and solar power industry, ensuring that the integrity of processed data not be compromised by rugged environments and extreme climates. Firecomms have developed light sources and communications ICs with a deep understanding of the stresses and strains placed on renewable energy applications. Firecomms' light sources use Resonant Cavity LED (RCLED) technology to ensure the strongest optical output at the lowest currents while preserving stability after decades of operation.

Firecomms' fibre optic solutions deliver on the communication needs in the modern smart grid environment, meeting the needs of both utility managers and equipment designers. As utility managers employ the latest techniques to measure and optimise grid load factors to economically manage electricity demand and supply, equipment designers must ensure that the reliability of control and protection information within the modern transmission and substation network not be compromised by the harsh environment in which these applications operate.

Firecomms' fibre optic solutions deliver on the harsh demands of the electric and diesel train industry, ensuring the integrity of control; signalling and passenger data is not compromised by the harsh environment in which these applications operate. Firecomms have developed light sources and communications ICs with the deep understanding of the stresses and strains placed on equipment in electric and diesel trains.

Power systems

Battery banks, UPS devices and EV charging stations all have the same common operating and maintenance risks. Plastic Optic Fibre is, 100% plastic and consequently does not conduct electricity and cannot, therefore, cause a short circuit. Plastic Optic Fibre is 100% immune from electrical or magnetic pickup hence it will isolate command and control digital electronics from the power switching electronics' interference usually located in UPS or EV charging stations. Equally, POF can provide high-speed data connections between devices without the risk of carrying unwanted EMI/RF interference from one unit to another.

Firecomms_robotics_SI

Robotics

As technology innovation exponentially grows and moves beyond the traditional manufacturing industries especially automotive and electronics, the need for more reliable, flexible and fast automation systems increases. Significant installed base growth has led to a boom in new demand for industrial Robots. Firecomms' products complete the offering by providing a number of solutions, suitable for robotic and cobotic applications.
