Wi-Fi & Bluetooth combined Modules
For higher throughput performance, reliability and range, SparkLAN’s integrated SoC Wi-Fi modules give a range of flexible options and interfaces for outdoor and rugged environments.
Their core range of Wi-Fi modules cover the following major technologies. All of these modules come equipped with advanced security encryption such as WEP, WPA, WPA2, WPA3, and 802.1x.
- Wi-Fi 802.11a – Supports bandwidth 54mbps. Signal in a regulated frequency spectrum around 5 GHz
- Wi-Fi 802.11b – Supports bandwidth 11mbps. Signal in unregulated frequency spectrum around 2.4 GHz
- Wi-Fi 802.11g – Supports bandwidth up to 54mbps. 2.4 GHz frequency for greater range
- Wi-Fi 802. 11ac – A supercharged version of 802. 11n Dozens of times faster and delivering speeds ranging from 433mbps up to several gbps. To achieve this throughput, 802.11ac works exclusively within the 5 GHz band for plenty of bandwidth (80 or 160MHz)
- Wi-Fi 802.11n – Supports up to 300mbps of rated theoretical bandwidth under best-case conditions
- Wi-Fi 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) – The new generation of Wi-Fi. Supports up to 600mbps (80MHz, 1 spatial stream) or 9607.8mbps (160MHz, 8 spatial stream) under best-case conditions. This brand-new technology provides many benefits including:
- Reduced latency
- High density
- Greater IoT coverage
- Increased data rates
- Power-efficient
SparkLAN also offers a variety of Wi-Fi/Bluetooth combined modules. These modules feature periodic switching of the antenna to allow both interface standards to operate in the same module effectively at the same time.
Industrial grade wireless modules
Industrial-grade wireless modules are designed to work in extreme temperatures and conditions. Supporting a wide range of industrial applications that will benefit from wireless connectivity. With combination and industrial-grade mini PCIe (Wi-Fi 5) module options covering: |
- Chipset: Qualcomm
- Antenna: 2xIPEX connector, 2T2R & 3xIPEX connector, 3T3R
- Form factor: Half Mini PCIe & Mini PCIe
- Interface: PCIe: WLAN, USB, BT
- Output Power up to 18dBm
- Data rates up to 1.3Gbps
- Military temperature: -40~ to 85°C
- Enhanced wireless security: WEP, WPA, WPA2, 802.1x
- Supports: Windows 7/8.1/10; Linux (Open Source), Recommend Kernel v4.0+
Mini PCIe
A small version of the PCI Express peripheral interface for laptop computers and other portable devices. Using standard PCI Express signalling, Mini PCIe cards are designed for internal use, plugging directly into the motherboard.
These modules are designed to WLAN standards and Bluetooth 5.0, to deliver superior integration of WLAN/Bluetooth and low energy technology. Both are dual-band on 2.4GHz+5GHz and incorporate the latest Bluetooth 5.0.
Multiple variations are available, please contact us for details.
M.2 (Next generation form factor)
A specification for internally mounted computer expansion cards and associated connectors. Computer bus interfaces provided through the M.2 connector is PCI Express 3.0, Serial ATA 3.0, and USB 3.0.
With a more flexible physical specification, the M.2 is ideal for solid-state storage applications and particularly in smaller devices such as tablets and ultra-books.
Both ideal for next-generation enterprise networking solutions and applications such as industrial PC’s and intelligent gateways, this is incorporated with advanced security encryption, such as WEP, WPA, WPA2, WPS, and 802.1x, to prevent malicious attacks.
System in Package (SiP) modules
These highly integrated, cost-effective and low-power consumption modules have all the usual Wi-Fi functionality plus seamless roaming capabilities and advanced security.
Incorporating the most advanced enhanced collaborative coexistence algorithms and hardware mechanisms, they have an extremely collaborative WLAN and Bluetooth coexistence. SiP modules are the best choice if trying to improve the battery life and extend the Wi-Fi range of a device.
These compact modules are a total solution developed especially for applications such as IP cameras, smart TVs, setup boxes, tablets, smartphones, doorbells and portable devices.
LoRa module solutions
LoRa modules are general-purpose SiP’s perfect for sensor integration and speeding up LPWAN integration with an embedded SiP in their design. LoRa modules can achieve a sensitivity of over -137dBm. The high sensitivity combined with the integrated +20dBm power amplifier yields industry leading link budget making it optimal for any low data rate application requiring range or robustness.
Provides low power, long-range, high sensitivity communication using spread spectrum. LoRa also provides significant advantages in both blocking and selectivity over conventional modulation techniques, solving the traditional design compromise between range, interference immunity and energy consumption. With UART interface, their LoRa module provides a command set interface that can be used for LoRa and LoRaWAN communication.
Suitable Applications
Ranging across automated meter reading, industrial monitoring and control, intelligent parking, street lighting management, traffic detection and control, irrigation control, forest fire detection, air pollution, earthquake, intelligent tracking.
LoRa gateway
SparkLAN's LoRa gateway works in two different modes, one for LoRaWAN, and the other is packet forward. The major difference is in LoRaWAN mode. The gateway acts as both a network server and a gateway, but in Packet Forward mode it will only pass data through to the gateway and the public network server.
