Neutrino ISR series MWIR camera modules

The Neutrino Ground ISR Series combines mid-wave infrared thermal camera modules with factory-aligned continuous zoom optics and advanced imaging electronics for ISR, security, and surveillance platforms. Designed for system integrators, these modules reduce development time, cost, and integration risk compared with custom camera builds. The range includes multiple models with either 640 × 512 or 1280 × 1024 thermal resolution and different zoom lens ranges to suit short-, medium-, and long-range observation needs. Each module uses a robust Stirling cooler for reliable high-sensitivity imaging in demanding environments.

The series is NDAA-compliant and ITAR-free, helping simplify procurement, export, and deployment in defence and border security programs. The modules are also AI-ready through support for the Prism™ AI imaging library, enabling on-board image enhancement, target detection, tracking, super-resolution, and turbulence mitigation.

FAQs

for Neutrino ISR series MWIR camera modules

The series includes four models with different sensor resolutions and zoom lens ranges. The Neutrino LC-ISR 20-420 uses a 640 × 512 MWIR sensor with a 20–420 mm continuous zoom lens for balanced medium-range surveillance. The Neutrino SX8-ISR 15-300 and Neutrino SX8-ISR 35-700 both use 1280 × 1024 MWIR sensors, with the 15–300 mm version suited to wider mid-range coverage and the 35–700 mm version better for longer-range observation. The Neutrino SX12-ISR 1200 combines a 1280 × 1024 detector with a 120–1200 mm zoom lens for ultra long-range surveillance applications.

Yes. All Neutrino Ground ISR camera modules are NDAA compliant and ITAR-free. This helps simplify procurement for U.S. defence and government programs while also reducing export complexity for international integration projects. For system integrators, that means fewer regulatory barriers and faster deployment into approved surveillance and security platforms.

These modules are designed for high-performance thermal imaging and do not provide calibrated temperature measurement. They are non-radiometric camera cores intended for detection, recognition, and identification tasks rather than temperature analysis.

The modules support standard integration interfaces including Camera Link, Gigabit Ethernet, HD-SDI, and analog video outputs such as NTSC/PAL for legacy systems. This allows easier connection to frame grabbers, networked video systems, and conventional monitoring infrastructure while simplifying camera and lens control integration.

The integrated Stirling cooler is a long-life design rated at more than 27,000 hours MTTF, supporting years of continuous operation in demanding ISR environments. This durability helps reduce maintenance requirements and supports 24/7 mission-critical deployment. The modules are also backed by a 2-year manufacturer warranty.

Yes. The series is compatible with the Prism™ AI imaging library, enabling capabilities such as automatic target detection and tracking, image enhancement, super-resolution, and turbulence mitigation. This allows integrators to build more intelligent thermal surveillance systems with edge-based processing capabilities.

Each model uses an integrated continuous zoom lens with athermalized design and through-zoom autofocus. This helps maintain image sharpness and boresight retention as focal length changes and as environmental temperatures vary. The result is stable, clear imaging from wide-area views to extreme telephoto observation.

A turnkey module reduces integration complexity by delivering the sensor, cooler, lens, and electronics as a factory-aligned and validated system. This can shorten development time, reduce engineering risk, and improve confidence in image quality and long-range performance. It also gives integrators access to established documentation, technical support, and warranty coverage.
