FAQs
for FXO CXP (1&2 connections) CoaXPress-12 camera modules
Each FXO CXP camera uses Sony Pregius S CMOS sensors with global shutter technology. These sensors are known for high sensitivity, low noise, strong uniformity, and excellent image quality in fast-motion inspection applications.
The CoaXPress-12 interface delivers high bandwidth with low latency, allowing the cameras to transmit high-resolution images at fast frame rates in real time. It also supports long cable lengths of up to 25 m and can carry power via PoCXP, reducing cabling complexity.
Yes. The FXO CXP series is available in both monochrome and colour variants across the sensor range. This lets users choose between maximum grayscale sensitivity or full colour image capture without changing the overall camera platform.
These cameras provide versatile industrial I/O with 24 V-tolerant TTL lines, RS-232, and an optically isolated trigger input. They support internal, software, and external trigger modes, and the integrated 4-channel strobe controller helps synchronise lighting directly with exposure.
The FXO CXP series includes ROI, pixel binning, and lookup tables (LUTs) for optimising image output directly on the camera. Additional controls such as gain, exposure, and white balance on colour models help reduce host-side processing and improve bandwidth efficiency.
FXO CXP camera modules use a rugged aluminium housing and are designed for operation from -10 °C to +60 °C. Their compact passive design supports reliable 24/7 industrial use without requiring active cooling in most applications.
You need a CoaXPress frame grabber that supports the required number of CXP-12 links, suitable coaxial cables, and GenICam-compatible software or the manufacturer SDK. Power can be delivered over the CoaXPress cable using PoCXP when supported by the frame grabber.
Yes. The FXO CXP series is designed for cleanroom-compatible operation and is well suited to semiconductor, PCB, and other electronics manufacturing tasks. Its passive cooling concept and enclosed housing help minimise contamination risks in controlled environments.
