The FSP700M-70PB medical ATX power supply is an enclosed AC/DC switching unit for medical PCs and related electronic equipment. It provides up to 700W of continuous output across the standard ATX supply rails, including two +12V outputs and a +5V standby rail. Its 165 × 150 × 86 mm PS2 enclosure is intended for integration into equipment that accommodates an internal ATX power supply. The electrical design addresses IEC 60601-1 and IEC 62368-1 requirements, with BF-class isolation and a 4,000VAC input-to-output withstand rating identified as 2 MOPP. Full-range 90–264VAC input, active power factor correction and specified Class B emissions support equipment intended for use across different mains regions.
Fixed cabling provides motherboard, processor, PCIe, SATA and PATA connections for system integration. This is an internal ATX power supply rather than an external desktop adaptor.

FAQs
for FSP700M-70PB – 700W AC/DC medical desktop power supply
The power supply delivers up to 700W of continuous output. A combined +12V peak rating of 780W is also specified, but the peak duration must remain below 10ms.
No. It is an internal PS2 ATX power supply measuring 165 × 150 × 86 mm, with fixed motherboard, CPU, PCIe, SATA and PATA output cables.
It accepts 90–264VAC at 47–63Hz. Rated input current is 8A RMS at 115VAC and 4A RMS at 230VAC.
The unit has two +12V rails. Each rail is rated for up to 30A continuously and 35A peak, while their combined continuous limit is 58A.
The design includes BF-class isolation and a 4,000VAC input-to-output withstand rating identified as 2 MOPP. Suitability for a particular medical device must still be confirmed through complete equipment-level risk management, insulation coordination and compliance testing.
Earth leakage current is specified as 300µA maximum at 264VAC and 63Hz. Engineers should assess this value alongside the leakage contributions of the complete system.
The full rated output is specified up to +50°C. Above this temperature, the output must be reduced linearly until it reaches 50% of rated power at +70°C.
The unit provides overvoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature and short-circuit protection. The main +3.3V, +5V and +12V rails use latch-off behaviour for the specified protection functions, while auto-recovery is identified for the auxiliary and negative rails.
Connections include one 24-pin motherboard cable, two 8-pin CPU cables, two 6+2-pin PCIe cables, four SATA connection points arranged across two cable runs and two PATA connection points on one cable run.
Each rail must remain within its individual current rating, and the combined limits must also be observed. The +3.3V and +5V rails are limited to 150W combined, while the two +12V rails have a combined continuous limit of 58A and the complete supply remains limited to 700W continuous output.
