FAQs
for FSP400M-70PD – 400W ATX AC/DC medical desktop powersupply
Yes. The unit is specified for full-load operation from 0°C to +50°C. Above +50°C, the available load must be reduced linearly until it reaches 50% at +70°C.
The specified operating range is 90–264VAC at 47–63Hz. Input current is rated at 6A RMS with a 115VAC, 60Hz supply and 3A RMS with a 230VAC, 50Hz supply.
The +12V1 and +12V2 rails are each rated for up to 18A. Their combined maximum output is limited to 29A, so the two individual rail ratings cannot be added together without applying the combined limit.
The +3.3V rail is rated for up to 21A and the +5V rail for up to 18A. The combined output from these two rails must not exceed 120W.
Input-to-output isolation is rated at 4,000VAC and 2 MOPP. Earth leakage current is limited to 250μA maximum, while touch leakage current is limited to 100μA maximum at 264VAC and 63Hz.
Overvoltage, overcurrent and short-circuit conditions on the +3.3V, +5V and +12V rails cause a latch-off response. The -12V, optional -5V and +5V standby outputs use automatic recovery for overcurrent and short-circuit conditions.
The cable set includes a 24-pin motherboard connector, two 8-pin CPU connectors, one 6+2-pin PCIe connector, four SATA connections arranged across two cable runs, and PATA and floppy connections.
Operation is specified at altitudes of up to 5,000 metres. System-level thermal management, insulation coordination and regulatory assessment must still account for the complete equipment design and installation environment.
The unit specifies EN 55011 and EN 55022 Class B conducted and radiated emissions. It also lists medical EMC performance under IEC 60601-1-2, including ESD, surge, burst, radiated immunity, conducted immunity, magnetic-field immunity and voltage-dip testing.
No. The -5V rail is available on request and is not included with the standard configuration. Where required, it is rated for up to 0.2A.
