The AL-100 mini spectroradiometer is a portable spectral measurement device designed for engineers and lighting professionals who need to characterise light sources with precision. It supports both direct contact measurements on surfaces and short-range non-contact measurements, offering flexibility for testing everything from small LED modules to larger display panels. Using advanced MEMS micrograting technology, the AL-100 achieves a compact size without compromising on measurement capabilities. It captures a comprehensive range of photometric and colour metrics, including spectral distribution, luminance, correlated colour temperature, colour rendering index, and chromaticity coordinates. The device maintains an accuracy of approximately ±3% for luminance under standard conditions, ensuring reliable results for critical evaluations. With a spectral range spanning 380 nm to 780 nm and a fine optical resolution of 5.5 nm (FWHM), it can resolve detailed spectral features of light sources. The AL-100 is battery-powered for convenient field use, and measurement data are saved to an SD card for later analysis using the provided software. This portable spectroradiometer is well suited to LED display calibration, lighting product testing, and on-the-spot luminance and colour quality assessments in laboratory and industrial environments.

The AL-100 spectroradiometer combines handheld portability with detailed spectral and luminance analysis for professional lighting work. Its dual-use measurement approach supports direct contact testing on light-emitting surfaces as well as short-range non-contact measurements, making it suitable for displays, LED modules, signage, and other illuminated products.
Designed around MEMS micrograting technology, the device delivers broad functionality in a compact format. Users can measure luminance, spectral distribution, CCT, CRI, chromaticity coordinates, and additional colour quality metrics while logging data to the included SD card for later software-based analysis.

FAQs
for AL-100 mini spectroradiometer
Yes. The AL-100 supports both direct contact use and short-range non-contact measurement. For small light sources or display surfaces, the shading tube can be attached and placed against the surface to reduce ambient light influence. For larger panels or harder-to-reach sources, the device can also measure from a short distance within its 5° field of view.
The device measures a broad set of photometric and colour metrics, including spectral distribution, luminance, CCT, Δuv, CRI, chromaticity coordinates in CIE 1931 x,y and CIE 1976 u’,v’, and additional colour quality values such as Rf/Rg. This makes it a versatile spectral light meter for evaluating both brightness and colour performance.
The AI 101 supports a very wide illuminance measurement range from 1 lux up to 600,000 lux, making it suitable for both low-light indoor environments and extremely bright professional lighting systems such as stadium, stage, or outdoor lighting installations.
