The Quad Detector Acquisition System (QDAS) is a USB-powered platform designed for simultaneous data acquisition from up to four PbS or PbSe detectors. It features low-noise, AC-coupled amplifiers with selectable gain, and supports pulse frequencies between 5 Hz and 150 Hz. A 16-bit ADC with a 4:1 multiplexed input enables efficient signal capture, while software-controlled calibration ensures accuracy across varying trigger conditions. The included Windows-based software provides real-time display options, digital filtering, data logging, and relative measurement mode. Users can adjust channel gain, names, and sample rates, and export data for further analysis. Optional features include TEC control for cooled detectors and integration with a MEMS emitter board for synchronized operation. Compact and flexible, QDAS is ideal for infrared sensing applications requiring precise, multi-channel signal acquisition.

Range features
An overview of what’s in the range
- Simultaneous 1 to 4 channel operation, Fully USB powered – Captures data from up to four detectors without the need for external power.
- Optimised for pulsed light sources (5–150 Hz) – Designed for use with modulated IR sources, including MEMS emitters.
- Low-Noise, AC-Coupled Amplifier with Selectable Gain – Features a transimpedance amplifier with adjustable gain (100 kΩ or 1 MΩ) for PbS/PbSe detectors.
- Auto-Calibration for Peak Signal Timing – Ensures accurate synchronisation with the trigger signal for consistent measurements.
- Compact Two-Board Stack with Optional TEC Support – 1.8" square form factor with analog and digital boards; optional TEC controller board available for cooled detectors.
