Acal BFi announces strategic partnership with Raytac to expand wireless module portfolio for industrial and embedded applications

Acal BFi today announces a new partnership with Raytac , strengthening its wireless technology offering with a broad portfolio of pre-certified Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® modules for industrial, medical, and IoT applications. The agreement supports customers across Europe with high-performance wireless modules, design support, and end-to-end engineering services – from first concept to production.

Raytac is a specialist in short-range wireless connectivity. The company brings together RF experts and global innovators to deliver smart, reliable wireless solutions that accelerate product development. Headquartered in California, USA, with production in Taiwan, Raytac focuses on making wireless design faster, easier, and more accessible for developers everywhere. All Raytac modules are built for flexibility, fast integration, and rock-solid performance – enabling customers to connect, create, and launch with confidence.

As part of this strategic alliance, Acal BFi will offer Raytac’s portfolio of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, including ultra-low-power Bluetooth Low Energy solutions, high-throughput Wi-Fi modules, and combination modules for advanced connected devices. These modules are designed for demanding environments and market sectors where reliability, security, and long-term availability are essential.

“Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity is now a core requirement in almost every market we serve – from smart infrastructure and industrial automation to healthcare and sensing,” said Matthias Beuther, Business Development Manager, Acal BFi. “By partnering with Raytac, we are adding a powerful and proven wireless platform to our portfolio. The combination of Raytac’s module technology and our application engineering expertise gives our customers a faster, lower-risk path to market.”

All Raytac wireless modules are developed to meet major global certification standards, including CE, FCC, IC, UKCA, TELEC, KC, RCM, SRRC, NCC, and WPC. This significantly reduces the time and cost typically required for customers to achieve compliance in different regions. In practice, this means customers can move from prototype to launch more quickly, with less rework and fewer certification surprises late in the process.

“Great ideas deserve great hardware,” said Lyon Liu, CEO, Raytac. “Our mission is to remove complexity from wireless design. Together with Acal BFi, we can now support customers not only with modules, but with the integration expertise to make sure those modules perform in the real world – in metal housings, in noisy RF environments, in medical devices, in smart sensors, wherever reliability matters.”

Acal BFi’s IoT & Wireless Technology Centre will work closely with Raytac to support customers during evaluation, integration, optimisation, and pre-certification testing. This includes antenna selection and tuning, power management advice, mechanical and enclosure considerations, and guidance on radio coexistence (e.g. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth running in parallel without interference). The aim is not just to sell a module, but to help customers deliver a complete, robust wireless product into the field. Raytac’s roadmap extends beyond today’s Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and LoRa solutions. The company is actively planning support for 3GPP NTN (Non-Terrestrial Network) technologies to enable future applications that rely on satellite-based and hybrid connectivity models. At the same time, Raytac is scaling its global footprint, with production already established in Taiwan and U.S., while actively planning expansion into APAC to support volume, continuity of supply, and regional resilience.

With this partnership, Acal BFi continues to expand its specialist wireless offering to the European market, reinforcing its position as a technical distributor and engineering partner for complex, high-reliability applications. By combining in-house expertise from its IoT & Wireless Technology Centre with Raytac’s wireless module innovation, the two companies will support customers from early design decisions through to full production, localisation, and certification in global markets.

Acal BFi and Raytac are aligned on a simple objective: to make wireless integration more predictable, more repeatable, and more scalable for customers building the next generation of connected devices.
