Stokes and Mueller Polarimeters

Hinds Instruments offers two categories of polarimetry measurements: Stokes polarimetry which determines four Stokes parameters enabling light characterisation and Mueller polarimetry which determines up to 16 parameters enabling to characterise the sample measurements.

Hinds Instruments POLSNAP offers waveplate-based Stokes polarimeters with all electronics and optics in one compact design. Their dual PEM research-grade Stokes polarimeters are state-of-the-art Stokes vector polarimeters for measuring the polarisation of light and how a sample changes the polarisation of light passing through it.

Research grade Mueller matrix polarimeters are used for measuring the complete Mueller matrix of a sample at the lowest most sensitive levels available. The Hinds Instruments optical anisotropy factor measurement system is an R&D 100 award-winning system that measures the changes in the polarisation state of light that is reflected off the individual layers of a TRISO fuel particle.
