Passive fibre optics have a wide range of applications including networks, lighting and sensors.

The core component is always the passive fibre which is then packaged into a cable or a fibre bundle and equipped with connectors and various other tools such as multiplexers, splitters, strippers, couplers, cleavers and splicers.
