µlinx (micro-links) avionics cables offer additionally high reliability and wide temperature range (-65 to 150°C) performance specifically for the avionics environment. On the other hand, the µlinx tether cables are abrasion resistant and flexible making them especially suitable in unmanned vehicle tethers.
With an outer diameter (OD) of just 0.8 mm, but still using an aramid yarn (braided type for avionics) for high strength, the cable’s weight at ≤ 0.75 kg/km (≤0.7 kg/km for avionics type) is optimal for mission critical applications.
µlinx cables are available in single mode (SM) and multi-mode (MM) 50 µm and 62.5 µm graded index fibre designs.
