Gemini ForeSight™ Surveillance System

The Gemini ForeSight™ EO/IR Surveillance System is a medium-range dual-camera platform built for demanding security applications. It integrates a high-resolution daylight video camera and an uncooled thermal imaging sensor into one co-boresighted unit. By combining visible and thermal imaging, it supports reliable detection in darkness, fog, smoke, and glare where conventional cameras may struggle. The aligned dual-sensor design helps operators move quickly from detection to visual identification without changing platforms. Its sealed, pressurised housing is rated IP66 and tested to MIL-STD-810G for operation in harsh outdoor and mobile environments. The system operates from -32°C to +55°C and is suited to deserts, coastlines, infrastructure sites, and remote border locations. Three variants—S1, S2, and K1—share the same thermal module and pan/tilt mechanics while offering different daylight camera options. Conventional surveillance cameras can struggle in darkness, bad weather, or obscurants such as fog and dust. By combining a daylight camera and a thermal imager in one co-boresighted unit, ForeSight can detect heat signatures when visible imaging is limited and then support visual identification through the paired EO channel.

All three series use the same thermal imaging core and pan/tilt platform, but they differ in the daytime camera. S1 offers the highest resolution at 4.17 MP with extremely low-light performance. S2 uses a 2.18 MP sensor while retaining 30× zoom and strong low-light sensitivity at a lower cost point. K1 also uses a 2.18 MP sensor but is optimised for cost with reduced zoom range and a higher minimum illumination requirement.

ForeSight supports 18 mm and 36 mm fixed thermal lenses as well as motorised 15–100 mm and 26–105 mm zoom options. Shorter focal lengths provide a wider field of view for broader area observation, while longer focal lengths narrow the field of view and improve long-range detection, recognition, and identification performance.
