EMB-LR1280S is an ultra-low power OEM Embit module operating on the 2.4 GHz band, using Semtech’s proprietary spread spectrum modulation for long-range, interference-resistant connectivity. It complies with global 2.4 GHz regulations and offers higher transmission speeds than sub-1 GHz solutions due to no duty cycle restrictions.

The module combines Semtech’s SX1280 transceiver with an STM32L073 MCU (up to 192 KB Flash, 20 KB RAM), dual crystals, and a Crypto Unit for secure communication. It supports UART, I2C, USB, SPI, I2S, and multiple I/O ports, making it ideal for battery-powered devices.

Configurable as an embedded micro system or data modem, it supports firmware development via the Embit SDK. The EMB-LR1280-EVK kit includes all necessary tools and documentation.

Embedded with LoRaEMB and Semtech LoRa® 2.4 GHz stacks, it operates in star or point-to-point networks with features similar to IEEE 802.15.4. This module is a robust solution for industrial applications requiring worldwide deployment.
