The Tethered remote head series from Photron has been designed to enable high-speed video in the most space constraint mounting locations. A central processing unit simplifies cabling to a camera head and the video recording and triggering is automatically synchronised. Photron’s Multi is built as a 2 head system (1280 x 1024 pixels/head @4800 fps) + main unit with a built-in data acquisition system (DAQ). The Multi offers remote control of lens focus/ iris via the optional MFT lens mount.
The MH6 system is ultra-rugged and consists of a main processor that can support up to 6 ultra-small heads. Typical applications include onboard car crash testing. The miniature (35.4mm x 35mm x 35.4mm, 100g) heads are fitted with very flexible cables to allow cable routing in tight spaces. The resolution is very good at 1920 x 1400 pixels/head@750 fps. The MH6 processor has built-in backup SSD storage of 512GB. A special acceleration sensor can be used for triggering the recording when an impact has occurred.
(The heads are available in a colour or monochrome sensor version)
Application advice/support: We offer lighting and lenses tailored to each application and can work with you to achieve the best imaging results with your Photron camera.
