Acal BFi to join the Steliau Technology Group in a transformational European electronics solutions partnership

Wokingham, United Kingdom – 1st June 2026 – Acal BFi Group (Acal BFi), a leading pan-European provider of design-led electronic components, embedded systems, and value-added engineering solutions, has announced the signing of a definitive agreement to be acquired by the Steliau Technology Group (Steliau).

This marks a significant milestone in Acal BFi’s evolution following four years of investment by H2 Equity Partners, during which time the Group has strengthened its position as a leading technical solutions provider across Europe. The agreement will result in Acal BFi and Steliau creating Europe’s largest and most advanced design-led electronics solutions platform, with combined revenues in excess of €750 million.

As part of its growth strategy, Acal BFi significantly enhanced its Embedded Systems capability through the acquisitions of Impulse Embedded Limited and Arcobel Embedded Solutions in 2024. These businesses will form an important and integrated part of the combined Group, further strengthening Steliau’s embedded and industrial computing offering across the UK and Europe.

Headquartered in Wokingham, United Kingdom, Acal BFi has established a strong position across Europe, delivering specialist engineering expertise, design-in support, and long-term partnerships with customers and suppliers across a broad range of applications including industrial, medical, defence, transportation, and advanced technology sectors.

Steliau, headquartered in the Paris region, is a fast-growing pan-European value-added distributor of electronic solutions. Backed by Astorg, a leading European private equity firm, Steliau has rapidly expanded its capabilities and geographic footprint through a combination of organic growth and a highly successful acquisition strategy, completing 16 acquisitions since 2024.

The combination of Steliau and Acal BFi will create a highly complementary European platform with expanded geographic reach, deeper supplier relationships, and enhanced technical and design capabilities. The new Group will be uniquely positioned to support OEM customers with end-to-end solutions, from component selection and design-in through to customisation, assembly, and full system integration. Steliau’ s integrated service offering, combined with Acal BFi’s engineering-led sales model and deep application expertise, will enable the new organisation to deliver increased innovation, agility, and customer proximity across all major electronics markets.

This acquisition will also strengthen the combined Group’s value proposition to global component manufacturers, providing broader access to a more unified and scalable European market.

The transaction is conditional on certain customary closing conditions and is expected to complete later in 2026.
