Thermal accelerometers

Thermal accelerometers use a proprietary patented approach with no moving parts, highly reliable, easy to manufacture and ultra-low-cost. The components integrate leading-edge sensor technology with mixed-signal processing circuitry onto a single chip design with the CMOS IC process.

The key technology is the use of a heated gas as ‘proof mass’ and this allows to have negligible sensitivity to high-frequency vibration (e.g. motor vibration in automotive application), high tolerance to stress changes and a very low zero-g offset.

Thermal MEMS accelerometers are used in many proven applications in consumer, industrial and automotive safety products.
