Optical filters, gratings and prisms

Optical filters are passive devices that selectively transmit specific wavelengths of light, categorised into absorptive and dichroic filters based on their operating mechanisms.

When choosing optical filters, considerations include central wavelength, bandwidth, optical density, and other parameters crucial for application design. Our portfolio includes interference filters, colour glass filters, and variable neutral density filters, catering to diverse needs in fields like fluorescence microscopy, spectroscopy, and machine vision.

Prisms and gratings are indispensable dispersive optical components. Offering non-linear dispersion over a wide wavelength range with high throughput but wavelength-dependent resolution. Gratings are suitable for ultrashort-pulse laser systems and other optical setups. Our prism range includes dispersing prisms, Brewster angle prisms, right angle prisms, and corner cube retroreflectors to meet various optical dispersion needs.
