Reactors are frequently used in the electronic and the electro-technical industry. Technical requirements in this kind of industry often need bespoke solutions to meet demanding features and often it is difficult to operate with a comprehensive program of standard models.
To meet every application requirement, Noratel specialises in manufacturing reactors according to the customer’s specifications, demands, and application needs.
Noratel can design and produce anything from small reactors for print card mounting and switch node technique, to large single-phase reactors with heavy current coils for marine- and offshore installations, heavy industries, everything developed in close co-operation with the customer.

Range features
A high level overview of what this range offers
- Smoothing reactors are used in rectifiers to reduce the ripple voltage on the DC voltage
- AC circuits reactors can be used to reduce short-circuit currents
- Damping of electromagnetic interference from power electronics
- Reactors are also used for filtering AC circuits to obtain the best possible sinusoidal voltage from inverters and magnetic stabilisers
- Small reactors on ferrite core have become widely used in high-frequency switching. The same applies to noise protection in relation to the system and user equipment
- In the matter of a thyristor inverts a reactor is needed together with a capacitor to cut off the current in the thyristor during communication
- Since the thyristor used in inverters have a short cut-off time, air coils can be used to advantage
- Classifications from IP00 with extra coating for offshore use up to IP54
- Cooling type: AN, AF, AWF, and AFWF
- Manufactured to EN 61558-2-20 (IEC60289) standards
- Tested and approved according to DnV, Bureau Veritas, Lloyds Register of Shipping etc
