30/20A-H-CE High Voltage Amplifier 30 kV, 20 mA

The 30/20A-H-CE is a DC-stable high-voltage amplifier capable of outputting up to ±30 kV at ±20 mA. It features an all-solid-state design that delivers a very high slew rate and a wide operating bandwidth while maintaining low output noise. With a fixed non-inverting gain of 3000 V/V, this amplifier precisely scales a low-voltage input (up to ±10 V) to high voltage levels with exceptional accuracy. Built-in voltage and current monitors provide scaled low-voltage signals for real-time feedback or closed-loop control, ensuring users can safely observe the high-voltage output. A four-quadrant output stage allows the unit to both source and sink current into reactive or resistive loads, which means it can drive demanding capacitive loads and rapidly changing signals without instability. This high-voltage amplifier is commonly used in research and industrial applications such as high-voltage cable and component testing, dielectric material research, electrostatic experiments, and plasma studies, where precise, fast, and stable high-voltage control is required.

Range features

A high level overview of what this range offers

  • Four-quadrant output stage – Sinks or sources current for any load type, enabling precise control even with highly capacitive or reactive loads
  • Closed-loop design – Actively monitors and regulates output to maintain high accuracy and stability under varying load conditions
  • Short-circuit and overload protection – Safeguards both the amplifier and connected devices from overvoltage, overcurrent, or direct output short-circuits
  • All-solid-state construction – Ensures reliable, maintenance-free operation with no consumable components, ideal for continuous use in critical systems
  • DC-stable operation – Supports steady DC outputs and low-frequency signals without drift, making it suitable as a programmable high-voltage DC supply
  • Low output noise – Delivers extremely clean high-voltage signals for ultra-precise results, which is vital for sensitive experiments and measurements
  • Adjustable AC response – User-tunable frequency compensation allows optimisation of the amplifier’s stability and response speed for different load characteristics
  • NIST-traceable calibration – Each unit is provided with a calibration certificate (traceable to NIST standards) to guarantee measurement confidence and accuracy from day one
  • CE compliant (230 VAC model) – Meets European safety and electromagnetic compliance standards, ensuring safe integration into labs and industrial environments
