Charged Plate Monitors

TREK’s charged plate monitors are made to evaluate and monitor the performance of air ionisers. This technology delivers static charge neutralisation and tests the efficiency of an ioniser’s ion production.

Operating principle:

Charged plate monitors (CPM’s) evaluate the ability of air ionisers to neutralise static charge. A CPM charges an isolated, conductive plate that is charged to a known level. Then the air ions produced by the ioniser neutralises the charge on the isolated plate, and the time required to discharge the isolated plate is measured.

Models 156, 157, and 158A feature three primary modes of operation: a negative (-) discharge mode, a positive (+) discharge mode, and a balanced mode. In addition, 158a offers an ALL-function mode. The ALL-function mode permits automated tests for +DECAY, -DECAY, and BALANCE which are then saved to memory.
