SX1280 Transceiver, (G)FSK, LoRA, +12.5dBm QFN-24
- Technology
- ISM proprietary radios and SoCs
- Partner
- Semtech (formerly Sierra Wireless)
The SX1280/81 transceiver family delivers ultra-long-range wireless communication in the 2.4 GHz band, offering high linearity to resist strong interference. This makes it ideal for applications requiring robust and reliable connectivity. It is also the first transceiver of its kind in the ISM band to feature integrated time-of-flight (ToF) ranging, enabling advanced asset tracking, logistics monitoring, and personnel localization for safety.
These long-range 2.4 GHz devices support multiple modulation schemes and physical layers to balance long-distance connectivity with high data rates, making them suitable for video streaming, security systems, and industrial use. Their high integration and ultra-low power consumption allow designers to create compact devices such as wearables using small batteries.
The radio complies with major global 2.4 GHz wireless regulations, including EN 300 440, FCC CFR 47 Part 15, and ARIB STD-T66. With its combination of low power use, integrated ranging capabilities, and high-performance RF design, the SX1280/81 series enables enhanced connectivity and unlocks new possibilities for smart, previously unconnected devices and applications.
