A7196 Transceiver +20dBm, 6Mbps, QFN-24

The A7196 is a high-performance, low-cost 2.4 GHz ISM band transceiver designed for wireless applications requiring data rates of up to 6 Mbps. It features a fast PLL settling time, making it ideal for frequency-hopping systems. The device integrates numerous packet-handling capabilities, including separate 512-byte TX/RX FIFOs, automatic acknowledgment and retransmission, CRC error checking, and FEC (7,4 Hamming code) for single-bit error correction. Additional built-in features include RSSI-based channel assessment, a thermal sensor for temperature monitoring, and data whitening for data integrity and simple encryption.

For advanced security, the A7196 includes a hardware AES-128 co-processor capable of transforming 128-bit data blocks for encryption or decryption. These functions are all integrated into a compact 4 × 4 mm QFN-24 package, providing a feature-rich and cost-effective solution for modern wireless designs.
