The module is designed for multiprotocol 2.4 GHz operation, supporting Bluetooth Low Energy (up to Bluetooth 5.4), Zigbee, Thread (IEEE 802.15.4) and Bluetooth mesh, allowing a single hardware design to address a wide range of ecosystems.
Yes, the MDBT50-P512K is specified for –40 to +105 °C, making it suitable for industrial and other high-temperature environments such as factory automation, lighting control gear and HVAC systems.
The module measures approximately 8.4 × 13.2 × 2.1 mm and incorporates an on-board PCB (printed) antenna, simplifying RF layout and eliminating the need for an external antenna in many designs.
With Bluetooth Long Range, 2 Mbps high throughput, multiprotocol support and industrial-grade temperature, typical uses include IoT sensors and actuators, lighting and building control, asset tracking beacons, smart appliances, industrial monitoring nodes, wearables and human–machine interfaces.
The module offers multiple SPI, I²C and UART ports, USB 2.0 full-speed, PWM outputs, a 12-bit ADC with up to eight channels, I²S and PDM for audio, NFC for tap-to-pair or identification, as well as 18 general-purpose I/O pins. This mix supports both simple digital sensors and more demanding subsystems such as audio or USB devices.
Thanks to integrated DC/DC and LDO regulators with automated low-current modes, the module can draw around 0.6 µA in System OFF and about 1.5 µA in a low-power System ON state with wake-up via the real-time clock, making it well suited to coin-cell or energy-harvested applications.
Hardware-accelerated cryptography including a 128-bit AES engine and related blocks helps implement encrypted links, secure boot and protected firmware updates with minimal CPU overhead, supporting robust security architectures in connected products.
Yes, the product page references related modules within the same family offering chip antennas, PCB antennas and u.FL connector options, as well as variants with higher GPIO counts or based on a different SoC, allowing engineers to scale designs while maintaining a similar platform.
The module is pre-certified for major radio regulations including FCC, IC, CE, Telec (MIC), KC, SRRC, NCC, RCM, WPC and UKCA, which can significantly reduce the testing burden for end-product approvals in many regions.
Yes, the module is declared RoHS and REACH compliant, supporting use in markets and applications that require restricted-substance control and environmentally responsible component selection.
