These high-performance plastic optical fibre (POF) cables from Firecomms are available both in simplex and duplex configuration. The 1 mm POF is made using a high-purity Polymethylmethacrylat (PMMA) core and an optimised transparent polymer cladding. A 2.2 mm chlorinated polyethylene (PE) jacket protects the core and cladding allowing cable deployment into rugged environments. This POF cable is supplied on 500-meter reels allowing flexible self-installation and termination on-site.
