AC Photonics range of Fibre Optic (FO) power monitoring products include a selection of photodiodes (PD), tap photodiodes, fibre scramblers, Single Mode (SM) to Multi-Mode (MM) fiber converters and collimators for single/dual/multi-fibre or Polarisation Maintaining (PM) fibre. Photodiodes are available as standard InGaAs PIN, high-linear InGaAs PIN, mini InGaAs PIN and a high-speed PIN for 800-900 nm. Tap photodiodes are available as uni- and bi-directional hybrid devices integrating a thin-film tap and PIN with tap ratios from 1-10%. The fibre scrambler and converter products are very suited for test and measurement and instrumentation applications.

Range features
A high level overview of what this range offers
- Single/Dual/Multi-fibre collimators feature low insertion loss and low back reflection performance and are especially suited for laboratory use, collimation of laser beams and fiber-to-fibre coupling applications
- SM to MM fibre converter available for 850 nm, 1310 nm, 1550 nm standard wavelengths or customised
- Uni- and Bi-directional integrated tap detectors exhibit low insertion losses and polarisation dependent losses combined with a low dark current all in a very compact package
- PM fibre collimators offer a high extinction ratio of 20 dB typical, 22 dB minimum and are available in single or multiple fiber configurations
- Mini InGaAs PIN photodiode features a 300 µm active area with a wide operating wavelength range from 1000 to 1600 nm
- The high-speed 800-900 nm PIN photodiode can be configured with either HI780, 50/125 or 62.5/125 fibre types or customised
- The MM fibre scrambler features low insertion losses in both directions and provides fully filled mode distribution characteristics
