Acal BFi acquires Arcobel Embedded Solutions B.V.

Acal BFi is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement to acquire Arcobel Embedded Solutions B.V., a leading supplier of industrial PCs, embedded IoT systems, and network solutions for the industrial sector in the Benelux and Germany.

Based in Heesch, the Netherlands, Arcobel celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and is renowned for designing and selling multi-vendor systems, as well as developing and assembling standard and custom-made embedded hardware solutions. The company employs 22 people across sales, operations, assembly, and finance.

This acquisition marks the first step in Acal BFi’s strategy to expand its existing UK Embedded Computing business by acquiring established European companies with a similar design-led solutions approach and strong brand recognition. Their goal is to create a European Embedded Computing group of companies that retain their brand, local customer, and supplier relationships, while leveraging the expertise of the acquired companies’ sales teams.

Arcobel will maintain its long-established brand, which enjoys significant market recognition among both customers and suppliers and will operate mainly independently, sharing best practices within the Acal BFi Group.

Acal BFi will continue to explore further acquisition opportunities across Europe to build on its core solutions-led business.
