LUMASENSE has completed its world-famous IMPAC Infrared pyrometers with line-scanning options to allow temperature measurement over large objects:
- The ROT rotary mirror attachment in combination with an IS 5/12 or IGA 5/12 pyrometers will allow to scan large objects with scanning capabilities from 0 to 76°, and to measure the temperature from 250°C and 3500°C.
- The SCA scanning attachment in combination with all series 140, 5 and 300 pyrometers will allow to scan small objects with scanning capabilities from 0 to 12°, and to measure the temperature from 32°C to 3300°C
- The IS 12 and IGA 12 pyrometers are also available with a built-in optical mirror with scanning capabilities from 0° to 4°

Product highlights
- The ROT rotary mirror attached to IMPAC pyrometers models IS 5/12 or IGA 5/12 pyrometers will allow to scan large objects with a scanning angle from 0° to 76° with a scanning frequency permanently set to 12.5Hz.
- The SCA scanning attachment in combination with all IMPAC series 140, 5 and 300 pyrometers will allow to scan small objects with a scanning angle from 0 to 12° with an adjustable scanning frequency from 1Hz to 10Hz.
- The IMPAC IS 12 and IGA 12 pyrometers with a built-in Scanner will allow to scan small objects with a scanning angle from 0 to 4° with an adjustable scanning frequency from 4Hz to 10Hz.
Typical applications
- The ROT rotary mirror attached to IMPAC pyrometers models IS 5/12 or IGA 5/12 pyrometers is most frequently used to record the maximum temperature of large objects such as slabs, plates and metal strips
- The SCA scanning attachment in combination with all IMPAC series 140, 5 and 300 pyrometers, as well the IMPAC IS 12 and IGA 12 pyrometers with a built-in Scanner, are mainly used for recording the maximum temperature of smaller targets such as thin oscillating wires which are not constantly in the pyrometer's beam, or for finding scale-free spots on heavily scaled surfaces.
