WPEQ-268AXI(BT) & WPEQ-405AX are custom designs to cater for platforms that uses the popular Mini PCIe designs. Both solutions are designed to cover different types of applications.
WPEQ-268AXI (BT) is the first Qualcomm based Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) mini PCIe module, running PCIe (Wi-Fi) and USB (BT) to also support DBDC (Tri-band, Dual-concurrent) mode. With a standard mini PCIe formfactor, WPEQ-268AXI (BT) can accommodate to all existing platforms that have mini PCIe Adaptor pre-integrated with no extra work with platform design. The module is capable of running on both x86 platform and ARM based platforms and supports both STA mode and Soft AP Modes. Application area examples include: digital signage/POS, rugged computer / tablets, fan-less automation PC and other industrial environment applications that require high speed data transmission.
WPEQ-405AX is based on QCN9074 chipset solution. This is a true enterprise based wireless module that powers 4T4R (4×4) MU-MIMO, in 5Ghz Single band mode, hitting a theoretical speed of up to 4.8Gbps with 160MHz support. Making it ideal for heavy duty applications such as enterprise-grade APs, UTMs, public and transportation hotspots, and other industrial-capable access points. Unlike a typical Qualcomm reference design around QCN9074 (PN02.1), the WPEQ-405AX shrinks the traditional 50mm x 50mm M.2 E-Key design to a more popular Mini PCIe full size formfactor of just 50mm x 30mm, running at 3.3V voltage. This provides a greater versatility for use on more commonly seen designs.
