AMICCOM offers a huge variety of devices for Sub 1GHz wireless applications. Besides the bare radio ICs, usually interfaced by SPI from a customer’s MCU of choice, some of them are available with an attached application MCU, as so-called SoC (System on Chip), as well.

The portfolio ranges from low data rate, narrowband devices to chipsets for transmission speeds up to 2 Mbps. The high TX output power (up to +20dBm) and good sensitivity eliminates the need for additional external hardware (like amplifiers or FEMs) in most use cases.

Very low power consumption, especially in continuous RX mode, is a key feature of many parts. The so-called “Wake-On-Radio” (WOR) feature and integrated packet handling features reduce the workload for the application MCU, which further helps to save power and extend battery run-times.

Range features

A high level overview of what this range offers

  • TX, RX, TRX devices for frequency range [169 … 915] MHz available
  • Supported modulation types: ASK/OOK (dedicated devices); (G)FSK)
  • Over-the-air data rate: up to 2Mbps
  • TX output power: up to +20dBm (100mW)
  • RX sensitivity: e.g. down to -117dBm @ 868MHz; data rate 2kbps; IF BW = 50kHz (for illustration purposes only, as this parameter is highly modulation/receiver setup dependent)
  • Current consumption in continuous RX active mode: down to ~5mA
  • TX/RX payload data FIFO
  • Integrated packet handler with CRC, FEC and data whitening options
  • “Wake on Radio” (WOR): the radio can listen for incoming packets or transmit predefined payloads autonomously, without steady interaction from the MCU, at given, user-defined intervals
  • Commonly used QFN type packages
