Optimised for infrastructure: RF switches from Skyworks

Skyworks have expanded their range of RF switches for infrastructure with three new product families, each optimised for high power, high linearity and high isolation requirements.

High power switches

Suitable for use as a high power transmit/receive switches in a variety of telecommunication systems such as WiMAX, TD-SCDMA or LTE base stations.

  • 0.9 - 4GHz frequency range
  • High power handling:
  • Low 0.4dB typical insertion loss
  • High antenna to receive isolation - >42dB at 2.6GHz typical
  • Controlled with positive power supply
  • Low DC power consumption
  • 4mm x 4mm 16-pin QFN package

High linearity switches

Suitable for pre- and post-PA applications such as carrier aggregation.

  • Broad frequency range
  • Low insertion loss
  • SP3T, SP4T and SPDT options
  • Positive voltage control

SKY13373-460LF - For WCDMA band and mode switching, antenna switching in multimode systems and switching in 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN applications. 0.1 - 6.0GHz SP3T switch.

SKY13374-397LF - For dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN, diversity antenna switching and WCDMA handsets and datacard applications. 0.3 - 6.0GHz SPDT switch.

SKY13380-350LF - For high power switching applications in GSM/WCDMA/EDGE datacards and handsets and in mobile high power systems. 0.02 - 3.0GHz SP4T switch.

High isolation switches

The SKY13286-359LF is ideal for base station applications in which synthesizer isolation is critical.

  • 0.1 - 6.0GHz frequency range
  • High isolation: 64dB at 1GHz
  • Single, positive voltage control
  • Integrated silicon CMOS driver
  • Small 16 pin 4mm x 4mm QFN package
