Broadband Thin Film Polarizers provide an optimised performance at broad wavelength range. Our polarizers withstand high power applications due to low thermal coefficient. Polarizers designed for Ti:Sapphire, Nd:Glass and Ytterbium doped material lasers. Dielectric coated polarizers separate the s- and p-polarization components of high energy laser beams and are intended for intra and extra cavity usage. They are used as an alternative to Glan-Taylor laser polarizing prism or cube polarizing beamsplitters.
Transmission polarizers have polarizing coatings on both sides of the polarizer. They can be optimized for highest transmission of p polarization Tp > 94% or best contrast of polarizations Tp:Ts>20:1.
Reflection polarizers have polarizing coating on the input face is AR coated for both s and p polarization Rs > 98% or best best contrast of polarizations Rs:Rp>60:1. Moreover, the AR coated side of a polarizer can have wedge to minimize ghosting. Standard thin film polarizers are designed for optimum performance in the 750 - 850 nm or 980 - 1090 nm range.
