EMB-Fem2GW-O LoRA Outdoor Gateway
Technology type: LoRa
The EMB-Fem2GW-O is an outdoor multi-protocol network platform, which is designed for IoT (Internet of Things) and M2M (Machine-2-Machine) applications in an intelligent urban environment.
It enables LoRaWAN® connectivity with the cloud, which can cover the role of a fully compliant LoRaWAN® gateway in the network and supply urban infrastructure. EMB-Fem2GW-O comes with a LoRaWAN® packet forwarding functionality: the SX1301 radio is put into operation as a LoRaWAN® base station and receives wireless LoRa® packets and their forwarding to a LoRaWAN® network server.
The EMB-Fem2GW-O is based on the EMBIT MiniPCI-express card (compatible with both the EMB-LR1301-mPCIe and the EMB-LR1308-mPCIe). It manages 8 LoRa® channels to be able to serve thousands of end devices. It reaches up to 15 km in rural areas and up to 3 km in urban areas. It is available for both the EU region (868 MHz) and the USA (915 Mhz).

What's in this range?
All the variants in the range and a comparison of what they offer
At the heart of every LoRaWAN network are gateways that manage high volumes of LoRaWAN-enabled end devices and transfer information from your LoRaWAN network to the Cloud via other wired or wireless interfaces.
These multi-service, upgradable platforms provide a cost-effective solution capable of managing thousands of bi-directional messages between multiple end devices over vast distances of up to 15km in rural environments.
Our range of gateways offers network connectivity via a number of wired and wireless interfaces, including Ethernet, cellular and Wi-Fi. Our range also includes Power over Ethernet (PoE) and GPS functionality.
Gateways are available with IP67-rated enclosures for outdoor usage and can be preloaded with firmware to your requirements/configurations or with the most well-known LoRaWAN network provider’s configuration.
