Laird expands EMI shielding portfolio

Laird have launched two new products to add to their innovative EMI shielding range:

Ultra-low height, two-piece board-level shield

Laird’s innovative, patent pending EMI shielding solution is ideal for compact electronics with tight space requirements.

This ultra-low height, two-piece board-level shield incorporates a frame with drawn latch features, accommodating an assembly height as low as 1 mm. The advanced design offers an ideal solution for board-level EMI shielding applications in which access to the shielded components is required, and conserving space between a densely populated printed circuit board (PCB) and compact enclosure is critical.

Edge guide clip-on strip – fingerstock gaskets

Laird’s edge guide clip-on strip is ideal for virtually every application where Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) need to be grounded and/or shielded. This new product can reduce installation and labour costs and is available in custom lengths. For example a customer installing a 10cm strip could reduce installation time by up to 80% using the edge guide clip-on strip, opposed to performing a typical installation with 8 traditional single clips. The strip is made from beryllium copper (BeCu), is RoHs compliant, and is available with various plating options, including tin or nickel.
